Ingredients
- 4 Eggs
- 160g or 3/4 cup of sugar
- 176g or 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- Milk mixture:
- 7 pods of cardamom
- 300ml whole milk
- 250g condensed milk
Topping
- 250g whipped cream
- Crushed pistachios
Instructions
- Butter the baking dish and preheat the oven at 170C.
- Beat eggs until tripled in volume. Fold in sifted flour and baking powder gently.
- Pour batter into the baking tray and bake until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool and poke holes in it.
- Heat milk with cardamom pods, add condensed milk, and strain. Soak the cake completely in the milk mixture and chill. Whip heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar.
- Cover the cake with whipped cream and sprinkle crushed pistachios on top. Decorate and serve chilled.
